3rd Anniversary: Oborevwori To Commission 18km Of Roads In Ndokwa West Tomorrow

DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, inaugurate three major road projects covering approximately 18 kilometres in Ndokwa West Local Government Area as part of activities commemorating the third anniversary of his administration.
The projects, which are expected to improve transportation, boost economic activities and enhance access to communities within the area, are scheduled for inauguration at 11:00 a.m.
A statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, said the projects include the 4.5-kilometre Obi-Ibabu/Ibabu Road in Onicha-Ukwuani, the 5.0-kilometre Utagba-Uno/Ndemili Road Phase I, and the 8.4-kilometre Etua Ukpo/Etua Etiti/Etua Oliogo Road, all located in Ndokwa West Local Government Area.
According to the statement, the road projects form part of the Oborevwori administration’s infrastructure drive under the MORE Agenda, which prioritises improved road networks, enhanced connectivity and sustainable development across Delta State.
The government noted that the projects are expected to ease movement of people and goods, stimulate local economic growth and improve the overall quality of life for residents of the benefiting communities.
Community leaders, residents, political stakeholders and party faithful have been encouraged to turn out in large numbers to welcome the governor and witness the commissioning of the projects.
Guests are expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m. ahead of the commencement of the ceremony.
The inauguration is one of several activities lined up by the state government to mark Governor Oborevwori’s third year in office, a period characterised by the execution of key infrastructure and development projects across the state.
