WAFCON 2026 Qualifier: Benin To Face Super Falcons In Togo
By FRED LONGJOHN OBEH
BENIN’S women’s national team will host Nigeria’s Super Falcons in Lomé, Togo, for their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier.
The Benin Football Federation confirmed the venue switch after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) rejected all proposed home stadiums in Benin. The first leg will take place at the Stade de Kégué later this month, with the return leg set for four days later in Nigeria.
Defending champions Nigeria will look to maintain their continental dominance, while Benin hope to pull off an upset and book a spot at the WAFCON finals in Morocco.
