Volleyball: We’ll Continue To Fight To Win All Our Matches In First Phase – Coach Musa

BABA-Musa Musa, the coach of Adamawa Spikers female volleyball club, said his team is focused on winning all their matches in the first phase of the ongoing 2025 National Division 1 and 2 Volleyball League.
Musa mentioned on Wednesday in Abuja that their target is to win all matches in the male and female categories to play in the Premier League next season.
“The girls will continue to win all their matches in the first phase of the league. We’ve won two matches now in the female category, and we have three matches left.
“We want to top the table in the first phase so that when we come back for the second phase in November, we want to lift the trophy,” he said.
Report says that Adamawa Spikers defeated Bayelsa Queens 2-1 in their second match played at the Indoor Hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
They lost the first two sets 24-26 and came back to win the last two sets by 25-14 and 15-9.
Speaking after the match, Musa said the girls played according to instructions, and it worked for them.
“They refused to be let down in the first set in spite of losing. As a coach, I told them they needed to fight back, and it worked for them.
Report stated that in other matches played in the female category, Bayonet Spikers defeated Ekiti Queens 2-0; Fire Service Spikers beat Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) 2-0.
Safety Spikers lost to Sokoto Caliphate 0-2, NetForce beat Plateau Queens 2-0, while Vipers defeated Excelsior 2-0.
In the male category, Spartans beat Safety Spiker 2-0, Defence Spikers defeated Sword VC 2-1 while Life Camp beat Kwara United 2-0.
Report indicated that a total of 32 clubs are participating in the competition, which consists of 10 men’s and 10 women’s clubs in division one, while there are 12 clubs in division two.
The competition, which started on 12 August, is expected to end on 19 August.
