Ukodhiko Hosts Isoko APC Leaders In Abuja, Calls For Unity After Convention

Ukodhiko Rallies Isoko APC Stakeholders After National Convention
MEMBER representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, has hosted leaders and delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Isoko North and South Local Government Areas to a dinner meeting in Abuja, in what observers describe as a strategic move to consolidate party unity following the party’s national convention.
The gathering, held on 28 March 2026, at Ibro Fish Signature, brought together a broad spectrum of party stakeholders to review developments from the convention and reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the APC’s structure in Delta State.
Platform for Dialogue and Party Cohesion
The post-convention meeting provided a platform for interaction among party leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and elected officials from the Isoko axis. Participants emphasised the importance of unity and collaboration in advancing the party’s prospects in future political contests.
Political analysts note that such gatherings play a critical role in bridging gaps that may arise during party conventions, while reinforcing loyalty and collective direction among members.
High-Profile Attendance Reflects Strategic Importance
The event attracted several prominent figures within the party, including Stella Omu; Emmanuel Okoro, pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly; and Solomon Ogba, a respected political leader.
Also in attendance were Johnson Erijo, Chief of Staff at the Delta State Government House; Bernard Odior, Majority Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly; and Ferguson Onwo, representing Isoko South Constituency II.
Other dignitaries included Goodnews Obiodeh, Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Development; Godwin Ogorugba; and Warri Ovoke, alongside several party executives and stakeholders.
Grassroots Leaders, Party Executives Participate
The dinner also drew participation from key grassroots figures and party administrators, including Sunday Omonakome and Victor Ekelega, as well as other notable party faithful.
Their presence underscored the importance of aligning leadership at both the state and local levels to ensure cohesive political strategy.
Strengthening the Party’s Future in Delta
While the meeting was largely social, it carried clear political undertones, with stakeholders using the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to the growth and stability of the APC in the Isoko region.
Observers say the gathering signals ongoing efforts to consolidate internal structures and prepare the party for future electoral contests in Delta State and beyond.
