Tompolo Congratulates Newly Appointed NNPCL Management, Board
IN a momentous show of support, High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), has congratulated the newly appointed management and board members of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
On behalf of the entire TSSNL team, Tompolo expressed his deepest congratulations to the 11-member board and management of NNPCL, led by Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojuolari, and Chairman Ahmadu Musa Kida. This newly appointed team is poised to oversee the critical functions of one of Nigeria’s most influential national oil companies, with an eye on driving progress in the oil and gas sector.
High Chief Ekpemopolo stated that TSSNL recognises this appointment as a defining moment for the NNPCL and the future of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. He lauded the selection process, noting that the appointment of seasoned professionals by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reflects the president’s dedication to ensuring that Nigeria’s oil and gas sector is steered by capable hands, especially at this pivotal time.
“We express our profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his visionary leadership and commitment to excellence,” said Tompolo. “This carefully considered decision to appoint experienced and competent professionals underscores the President’s commitment to optimizing the vast potential of our nation’s oil and gas sector.”
The challenges ahead for the new NNPCL leadership are significant, but Tompolo conveyed confidence in their ability to address them. The NNPCL management will be expected to implement critical changes, including boosting local refining capacity and achieving the ambitious goal of increasing Nigeria’s crude oil production to 2 million barrels per day within record time.
“Under the stewardship of the new leadership, we are confident that these goals will not only be met but will be exceeded,” Tompolo stated. “TSSNL, as always, stands ready to partner with NNPCL in securing and enhancing Nigeria’s oil production capabilities, leveraging our expertise in asset protection and our strong presence in the Niger Delta.”
In his message, Tompolo reaffirmed TSSNL’s commitment to collaborating with NNPCL in safeguarding Nigeria’s oil assets and ensuring efficient resource management for the benefit of all Nigerians. As a key player in the security of Nigeria’s oil sector, TSSNL is poised to support the new leadership in securing a prosperous and stable energy future for the nation, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We urge the newly appointed management and board members to remain focused, innovative, and diligent in their responsibilities. The expectations are high, but with their expertise, dedication, and the support of all key stakeholders, we are confident they will lead NNPCL into a new era of growth and efficiency,” Tompolo concluded.
As Nigeria’s oil and gas sector enters a new phase under this leadership, TSSNL wishes the newly appointed NNPCL team a successful and impactful tenure. May their leadership usher in progress and transformation that will benefit the entire nation.
