TNNTV Decorates Asasa As 2021 LGA Chairman Of The Year
THE Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Hon. Victor Asasa, has been decorated as, “Best Local Government Chairman of the Year 2021, by The New Nigeria Television Channels (TNNTV), based in Abuja.
Speaking during the award ceremony, at Harlescourt Hotel, Asaba, Chairman/CEO of New Nigeria Television Channels, Comrade Seun Akinde, said Asasa was chosen sequel to his positive contributions towards the growth and development of Isoko South, in particular and Delta State in general.
He disclosed that Asasa’s nomination was in recognition of his modest performances since he assumed office as Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area. Akinde further said the Advisory Board of TNNTV, after a thorough deliberation and consideration of Asasa’s nomination, approved that the Isoko South Council Chairman be bestowed with its award- the ‘National Leadership Meritorious Award of Excellent Performance/Best Local Government Council Chairman of the Year 2021.
“In the course of balanced reportage, we have come across people, who became shining examples by going beyond the call of duty in their field of endeavour and Hon. Victor Asasa falls within that category and deserves to be recognised, decorated and appreciated accordingly.
“We honour him as Best Local Government Chairman of the Year 2021, in recognition and appreciation of his sincerity and selfless service to humanity, which has promoted good governance in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State and Nigeria at large”, Akinde added.
Responding, Asasa thanked God and the organisers for the recognition, while he dedicated the award to the people of Isoko South Local Government Area, for giving him the mandate to govern. Represented by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Nelson Egware , the Isoko South Council boss, said he was full of appreciation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his support to the third tier of government.
“I give glory to God for this opportunity and I am thankful for this award. The good people of Isoko South gave me the opportunity to serve them. I want to assure them that by the grace of God we will continue to deliver on our campaign promises of bringing democratic dividends to the grassroots.
As a Council, we will continue to do our best to be prudent in managing the available resources of the Council, so as to provide the dividends of democracy as encapsulated in the Stronger Delta Agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.”
