Tinubu Will Soon Conquer Banditry, Other Security Challenges –NSA Nuhu Ribadu
THE National Security Adviser to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has assured Nigerians that the President Bola Tinubu administration will soon conquer banditry and other security challenges in the country.
He gave the assurance on Thursday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State while responding to questions from members of the Nigeria Guild of Editors at the ongoing 2023 Annual Conference of Editors (ANEC)
According to him, “There is a lot of work ahead of us. We inherited a lot of challenges and we are just 5 months old in administration.
“However, we are doing work without making noise. If you open your plans to the public you undermine it’s success.
“Today, you can drive from Abuja to Kaduna even at night without fear of being kidnapped which was not so last year,” he explained to the Editors.
The NSA, who said that he came to Uyo to identify with the members of the Guild, stated that the President Tinubu administration is open to all with nothing to hide.
Stating further, he added; “We are operating open government. Editors are free to challenge, free to want to know and free to interact and publish truth.
” We and you are in it together to fight insecurity.
Let’s do it together,” he appealed to the Editors.
Mallam Ribadu, while making efforts to convince the Editors of their commitment to end banditry stated that he was committing an average of 18 hours a day to the course of security in Nigeria, adding that a lot of things are going on in terms of ensuring security all over the country, calling for patience with government.
“I put up 18 hours a day and rest for only 6 hours,” he explained.
