Tinubu Still A Tax Collector, Says Adebayo

SDP’S 2023 presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, has described President Bola Tinubu as a “well-known tax collector,” noting his record in Lagos and now at the federal level.

Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Adebayo said Tinubu’s reforms are “not the best but far better than what we had,” while criticising former President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic management.

He likened Nigeria’s economy to “an emergency room patient,” saying Tinubu has stabilised it but has yet to find the cure.

Tinubu recently signed four major tax reform bills into law, set to take effect in January 2026.
