Swift Intervention On The Failed Portion Of Asaba/Benin/Onitsha Expressway, FG Urged
HRM Asagba Azinge (SAN) urged the federal government for swift intervention on the failed portion of Asaba/Benin/Onitsha express way.
His Royal Majesty made this remark yesterday 12 August when he played host to Engr. Onimago Lukman Olushola Of Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) led delegation in his palace.
The Monarch expressed dismay the challenges masses do face on daily basis transversing the road to Anambra State and other parts of the state.
HRM Asagba Azinge described the Asaba/Benin expressway as the most important vital road in the country and should not be abandoned and left in such dilapidating state for this long time, understanding its linkage from South West, South-South and all through the Eastern parts of the country.
HRM charged the Federal Ministry of Works to come to the rescue of the masses by getting a possible remedy or any form of rehabilitation that will ease the movement of vehicles on the said expressway pending when contractors will be mobilized to site concerning the approval of Mr. President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Engineer Lukman Olushola who led the delegation appealed to HRM Asagba Azinge that the process of rehabilitation of the failed portion is underway stating the Agency approach and meetings with the federal ministry of works last week.
He assured the Monarch that soonest something positive will be done concerning the failed portion of the road.
