Super Eagles To Face Gabon In 2026 World Cup Play-Off Semi-Final

NIGERIA will face Gabon in the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African play-offs after finishing second in their qualifying group with 17 points, following a 4–0 win over Benin Republic.
Gabon advanced after securing second place in Group F with a 2–0 victory over Burundi, while South Africa topped the group.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Super Eagles will meet Gabon on Thursday 13 November, while Cameroon face DR Congo in the other semi-final on 14 November.
The winners will clash in the final on 16 November, with the champion proceeding to the Intercontinental Play-offs in Mexico next March for a chance to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
