Super Eagles Coach Criticises AFCON Logistics, Points To Host Advantage

By AUGUSTUS ISICHEI
SUPER Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has criticised transportation and logistical arrangements at the ongoing AFCON 2025, saying they unfairly favour host nation Morocco.
Chelle raised the concern after Nigeria’s latest match, noting that several teams have endured long and tiring road journeys due to the absence of domestic flights between venues. He said the travel demands place avoidable physical and mental strain on players during an already intense tournament.
According to the coach, such conditions affect preparation and recovery, giving some teams a competitive edge. He pointed out that Morocco have played all their matches in Rabat, avoiding long-distance travel entirely.
Chelle stressed that while Morocco remain a strong side, organisers must ensure equal conditions for all teams to maintain fairness and protect the integrity of the competition.
