THE Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Area 12, Province 130, Ilamoshe, Okeafa, Isolo, hosted a discounted fair tagged “Jesus Market” on Sunday, selling food and household items at heavily subsidised rates.
Items such as yam worth ₦4,000 sold for ₦1,000, while rice, beans, garri, soap, and detergents were also offered at half-price or less. Some products were given free.
Pastor Bisi Folahan said the initiative, part of RCCG’s Christian Social Responsibility, aims to support families amid rising costs. Partners including Money Point, Wema Bank, and Kellogg’s provided products and gifts, while free POS machines were distributed to support small businesses.
The fair, funded by church welfare contributions and corporate support, will now hold twice a year, with a bigger edition planned for December.
Residents hailed the initiative, describing it as timely relief amid inflation.
