THE Ruby Awareness Initiative Foundation (RAIF) has marked the 2025 World Mental Health Day with a school outreach at Holywood International School, Asaba, focusing on the theme “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”
In partnership with the Mental Health Department of FMC Asaba, the event featured lectures, drama, and interactive sessions promoting mental wellness and discouraging drug abuse among students.
Founder Mrs. Omonigho Oborevwori urged students to protect their minds, avoid peer pressure, and develop healthy coping skills. She presented journals and e-learning gadgets, encouraging students to use writing as a tool for self-expression and emotional healing.
Programme Coordinator Miss Elizabeth Ide reaffirmed RAIF’s mission to empower underprivileged youths through education, mental health advocacy, and skill development, especially focusing on the boy child.
Experts, including Dr. Adaigho Israel, led discussions on the dangers of drug abuse, while students took a “Say No to Drug Abuse” pledge, closing the event with prayers for a brighter future.
