Progressive Vanguard Association Of Ubulu-Unor Unveils Scholarship For Indigenes
THE Progressive Vanguard Association (PVA), a frontline movement for the progress and development of Ubulu-Unor, a peaceful community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, has beckoned on indigenes of the community in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions to apply for a scholarship programme sponsored by the group.
A member of the association, Mr. Tony Jibunma presented flyers of the scholarship programme to journalists for dissemination to prospective applicants, while saying that the scholarship is in line with the association’s motto: “Knowledge for Advancement.”
Vital information contained in the flyer included how to benefit and the prospective beneficiaries. It said: “to benefit, contact Paul Nwadiei on 08089235416, Tony Jibunma on 09150803511, Modestus Mukolu on 08033607735 or Dr. Paul Dike on +966 50 311 4037.
It also said: “Beneficiaries are indigent students, excellent/outstanding students who are indigenes of Ubulu-Unor in primary and secondary schools and higher institutions for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The PVA was described as a group committed to fostering knowledge as a tool for the advancement of Ubulu-Unor. It has its secretariat at Santiago Plaza, Anioshei quarters, Ubulu-Unor.
Jibunma described the gesture as a timely one, considering the impact of the present economic hardship in Nigeria on the ability of parents to cater for the educational needs of their children and wards.
