Presidency: Northern Roads, Rail Projects To Drive Growth
By ABDUL AHMED (A.A.) RUFUS
The Presidency has said ongoing road and rail projects in Northern Nigeria will unlock trade opportunities and boost the regional economy.
Presidential aide Abdulaziz Abdulaziz listed the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Expressway, Sokoto–Badagry Highway, and Kano–Katsina–Maradi rail line as key projects that will open trade routes, ease movement of goods, and create jobs.
“These are not just roads and bridges but economic corridors linking markets, farms, and businesses,” he told journalists in Kano.
He added that the Tinubu administration is completing inherited projects while initiating new ones to promote balanced development and national integration.
