Police Rescue Six Kidnapped Law Students In Benue State
THE Nigeria Police have successfully rescued six law students from the Yola Campus who were abducted on July 26, 2025, while traveling from Anambra State to Adamawa State in northeastern Nigeria.
The abduction took place late Saturday evening along the dangerous route between Wukari in Taraba State and parts of Benue State.
In a statement released Friday, August 1, 2025, the Public Relations Officer of the Benue State Police Command, SP Edet Udeme, confirmed that the students were safely rescued and have since been reunited with their families.
“The police remain committed to safeguarding lives and property and will continue to pursue justice for victims of such crimes,” she said.
Authorities have not disclosed further details on the rescue operation, but reassured the public of ongoing efforts to enhance security in the region.
