Oborevwori Urges Ward 10, Sapele To Concentrate On Producing Governor
THE Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has urged the people of Ward 10 in Sapele Local Government Area to shun the position of senatorial seat come the 2023 general elections because, what the Okpe Kingdom needs at this time is governorship position, which has been zoned to them.
Oborevworiwhile addressing party faithful during his ward to ward campaign at Adagbrasa-Elume, said that this is the first time an Okpe born will attain the governorship position in the state since inception.
The governorship candidate, who is also Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly emphasised that the PDP administration will not starve the people or make them to leave in penury as they have experienced in the last seven years plus, adding that when he becomes governor at the 2023 general election, he will becomes governor of the whole state and every interest will be taken care off.
He lamented the state of federal roads in the state presently and urged the people to ensure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is voted out of Aso Rock next year.
On his part, the state PDP Chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso, said that the only gift the Okpe Kingdom can give to the state Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa is to vote PDP at all levels in the state. Chief Esiso noted that all the candidates of PDP were carefully elected to contest the various positions to represent the various areas and constituencies.
Earlier, the chairman of the party in Ward 10, Hon. Samuel Egbri, while welcoming the party ward to ward campaign train to Adagbrasa, appealed to the governorship candidate to consider the poor condition of the roads in the area, adding that the Polytechnic approved for the area has not taken off as its functionality will expose the area to both indigenes and visitors.
Highlight of the event was presentation of other PDP flag bearers in the area, including Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Rt. Hon. Evelyn Oboro for the House of Representatives and Perkins Umukoro for the state House of Assembly.
