Oborevwori Tweaks Cabinet, Appoints New DELSU Governing Council

DELTA State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved a minor reshuffle within his cabinet, alongside the appointment of new members to the Governing Council of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.
The reshuffle was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, who said the redeployments of commissioners take immediate effect.
Under the new arrangement, Engr. Michael Ifeanyi Anoka has been redeployed from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal to the Ministry of Energy. Hon. Sunday Tataobuzogwu, who previously served as Commissioner for Energy, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal.
The governor also approved changes within the education sector. Mrs. Rose Ezewu was moved from the Ministry of Secondary Education to the Ministry of Primary Education, while Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu was transferred from the Ministry of Primary Education to the Ministry of Secondary Education.
In addition to the cabinet adjustments, Governor Oborevwori named former Secretary to the State Government, Sir Festus Ovie Agas, as a member of the Governing Council of Delta State University, Abraka.
Other appointees to the council include Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha and Charles Ajuyah (SAN), strengthening the university’s governing structure with experienced public and private sector professionals.
The statement added that the inauguration of the newly appointed Governing Council members would be announced in due course.
The latest changes are viewed as a routine administrative step aimed at boosting efficiency, ensuring optimal deployment of expertise, and reinforcing the delivery of the Oborevwori administration’s development agenda across critical sectors of the state.
