Oborevwori Hails Dewayles Boss @60, Celebrates Isoko Industrial Pride

DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has celebrated High Chief (Dr) Victor Wayles Egukawhore on his 60th birthday, describing the entrepreneur as a strategic economic pillar of the state’s industrial growth. The Governor’s message, released on Tuesday through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, spotlighted Egukawhore’s business impact in the marine logistics and construction sectors, industries that remain central to Delta’s infrastructure expansion and coastal economy.
Oborevwori noted that Egukawhore, born in Enhwe, Isoko South Local Government Area, built one of the most recognisable indigenous conglomerates in the state — Dewayles Group of Companies — from a foundation of technical excellence and operational credibility. He emphasised that the group’s marine services, dredging operations, offshore support, and construction portfolio have not only strengthened economic activity along Delta’s waterways, but also created sustainable jobs for youth and skilled professionals across multiple value chains.
The Governor also acknowledged the Dewayles chairman’s corporate social responsibility footprint, citing community-driven interventions, scholarships, local empowerment schemes, health outreach support, and direct philanthropy. He said Egukawhore’s social investments demonstrated that enterprise leadership must be measured not just by profit, but by people-centred impact.
Oborevwori praised him for promoting local content, expanding employment access, and fostering economic independence through private-sector driven mobility. He closed with prayers for long life, renewed strength, and sustained service to the state and nation.
