Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, the governor said the project was designed to address the long-standing traffic congestion and frequent accidents at the busy intersection.
He explained that the Agbor/Uromi Junction has for years been a dangerous spot where heavy vehicle traffic, motorcycles, and pedestrians often clash due to poor traffic management.
“Anyone travelling from Lagos to the East or from the East to the West must pass through this route. Its importance to the national economy cannot be overstated,” he added.
