Oborevwori Describes Nwaoboshi’s Death As Major Loss To Delta

Delta Governor Mourns Veteran Lawmaker, Political Leader
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed sadness over the death of former Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi, saying the state has lost a devoted leader and an unwavering defender of Anioma interests.
In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described the late senator as a proud son of Delta State whose service in politics and governance left a lasting imprint on the state and the Niger Delta region.
He recalled Nwaoboshi’s role as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, noting that his advocacy and legislative interventions reflected a deep commitment to regional development and national unity.
Governor Oborevwori also acknowledged the late senator’s contributions to party politics, particularly his tenure as a two-time PDP Chairman in Delta State, which he said underscored his dedication to democratic governance.
The governor extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the Anioma nation, members of the APC and other associates, praying for comfort for the bereaved and eternal rest for the departed.
