Oborevwori Celebrates Uvwie Monarch @18 Years On The Throne

Governor Commends Royal Leadership
DELTA State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Emmanuel Sideso, on the occasion of his 18th coronation anniversary, describing his reign as stabilising, impactful and development-driven.
In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor praised the monarch, who holds the title Abe I, for providing purposeful and inclusive leadership since ascending the ancient throne of his forebears in 2008.
From Turbulence to Stability
Governor Oborevwori noted that Uvwie Kingdom has experienced significant transformation under the monarch’s stewardship. According to him, the kingdom has evolved from what he described as a once troubled domain into a peaceful and investor-friendly environment.
He attributed the change to the royal father’s close collaboration with his Council of Chiefs and sustained engagement with the youth population, which he said helped strengthen communal bonds and promote social cohesion.
“Uvwie Kingdom has metamorphosed from a once troubled kingdom to a peaceful and investor-friendly domain under the reign of HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe I,” the governor stated.
He added that the prevailing peace has laid a solid foundation for economic activities and improved investor confidence within the kingdom.
Strategic Importance to Delta’s Economy
The governor further expressed confidence that with continued stability, Uvwie is strategically positioned to become a commercial hub within Delta State.
Uvwie, located within the Warri axis, occupies a critical geographic and economic position in the state. Observers note that peace within the kingdom has positive implications for trade, commerce and broader economic growth in the region.
Governor Oborevwori, on behalf of the government and people of the state, prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, wisdom and strength to sustain his contributions to traditional leadership and state development.
He emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace, unity and community-based development across Delta State.
