Oborevwori Commends Monarch’s Leadership Legacy
DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, King Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan, on the occasion of his birth anniversary, describing him as a pillar of unity and development in the Niger Delta.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor praised the monarch’s leadership style, noting that it has fostered peace, cultural preservation, and steady progress within Ogulagha Kingdom and across Ijaw communities.

Oborevwori highlighted the monarch’s role in sustaining cultural heritage while embracing modern governance practices. According to him, King Timiyan has successfully balanced tradition with contemporary leadership demands, ensuring the continued relevance of the traditional institution.

The governor also commended the monarch’s position as Chairman of the Delta State Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, noting that his influence extends beyond his immediate domain.
