NSC Reaffirms Support for Team Nigeria Ahead of 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo
The National Sports Commission (NSC) has reaffirmed its full support for Team Nigeria ahead of the 2025 World Athletics Championships, set to take place in Tokyo from September 13 to 21, 2025.
In a statement by Kola Daniel, media aide to the NSC Director-General Bukola Olopade, the commission expressed confidence in the athletes’ ability to make the nation proud.
“From the beginning, the NSC chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, made it clear that Nigeria must get it right in athletics,” Olopade said.
“This is a moment of pride. We trust our athletes to compete with determination and secure podium finishes. The commission will continue to support them and stand behind them as they fly our flag in Tokyo.”
Olopade also confirmed that he will be present in Tokyo to provide frontline support to the athletes throughout the competition.
