NNPC Increases Petrol Pump Price
THE Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased the pump price of petrol across its retail outlets.
In Abuja, the national oil company outlets increased their fuel pump price to ₦955 per litre from ₦890, an increment of ₦65.
Tribune Online monitored outlets in Central Business District (CBD), Wuse, Berger, Nyanya in FCT and Mararaba in Nasarawa State and observed that the new price has already been adjusted.
However, in AYA in Abuja, MRS filling stations sold fuel at ₦850 earlier in the day while A. A. Rano, which was a stone’s throw away, was selling at ₦920.
At Abacha Road in Mararaba suburb, NIPCO pegged its price at ₦920, as also is Zamson and AYM Shafa filling stations along the ever-busy Abuja-Keffi Expressway.
At the time of filing this report, NNPCL has not released any statement on the increment, but the decision followed an upward review of the ex-depot petrol price by Dangote Refinery to ₦858 per litre, up from ₦820.
