Nigeria’s Para Powerlifters Head To Cairo For Historic World Championships

TEAM Nigeria’s para powerlifters have departed for the 11th World Para Powerlifting Championships in Cairo, Egypt, holding from 9 to 18 October — the first edition ever hosted in Africa.
The first batch left Lagos on Tuesday, with the rest set to join on Wednesday. Officials expressed confidence in the team’s readiness to uphold Nigeria’s dominance in the sport.
The National Sports Commission reaffirmed government support, pledging continued investment in inclusivity and sporting excellence.
