Nigeria’s Enemy Within: Why the Political Elite Must Fall
THE greatest war Nigerians must fight is not against foreign powers—it is against the enemy within: the political elite. For decades, they have captured the nation, looted its wealth, and enslaved its people under a fraudulent system. This is not politics. This is oppression disguised as governance.
We must say it clearly: APC, PDP, and every party cut from their cloth are one and the same. They are the custodians of a system built to enrich a few and impoverish the many. No good leader can emerge from this rotten structure. No saviour can fix a system designed to fail. To keep believing otherwise is to surrender to lies.
Who Are These Elites?
They are not faceless shadows. They are:
-
The ruling families who turned communal land into private empires.
-
The heirs of so-called nationalists who hijacked industries and banks.
-
The military generals who imposed this constitution and still lurk in power.
-
The neo-democrats parading as reformers but feeding on the same carcass of corruption.
Together, they own the system. Together, they decide who becomes president, governor, senator. Nigerians are allowed only to “choose” from their pre-selected puppets. That is not democracy. That is slavery.
The Lie of Reform from Within
We have wasted half a century waiting for change from the inside. It has never come. It will never come. Why? Because the system cannot produce what it was not designed for. To enter Aso Rock, you must already be captured by the same elite forces. Ask Buhari. Ask Tinubu. Ask them all.
The real enemy is not one party versus another, not North versus South, not Christian versus Muslim. The real enemy is the political class itself. Until Nigerians unite against this single class, we will keep marching in circles, blind and broken.
The People’s Duty
We must reject this system in its entirety. Reject their constitution. Reject their power games. Reject the illusion that a “good man” can save us through elections rigged by the system. The time has come for a new order designed by the people themselves.
We demand:
-
A referendum to restructure Nigeria from the ground up.
-
A people’s constitution—not one written by soldiers, but by Nigerians, for Nigerians.
-
A system of accountability that strips the elite of their chokehold on power and wealth.
This must not be a conference in Abuja. It must be a movement that reaches every street, village, and hamlet. Nigerians everywhere must speak, and their voices must shape the nation.
No More Illusions
Every time we cheer for APC or PDP, we betray ourselves. Every time we fall for scandals staged by the EFCC, we waste energy on distractions. Every time we argue over who is “less bad,” we prove ourselves blind to the truth.
The truth is simple: APC is rotten. PDP is rotten. LP is rotten. The entire system is rotten.
And so we must rise—not tomorrow, not someday, but now. Rise against the lies. Rise against the elite. Rise for a new Nigeria that serves its people, not its parasites.
This is not politics. This is liberation. The war has begun.
