Nigerian Laments Threat To Life, Torture Of Family Members
A Nigerian, Mr. Peter Okechukwu Molokwu has narrated how his family members were made to suffer inhuman treatment by some criminally minded persons who wanted them to produce him for belonging to a group that the criminals were opposed to.
Molokwu who hails from Anam in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State narrated amidst tears, how his biological mother, brother and younger sister were taken from their farm by yet to be identified individuals, following which they were severely tortured and brutalized while the dare-devil individuals raped her sister.
Molokwu said the criminals tried to force his family members to disclose his whereabouts so they could deal with him believing that he is a member of the rival Indigenous People of Biafra and its mobile arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
But Molokwu said he is aware that both groups had been proscribed, so has nothing to do with them even before they were banned by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Although Molokwu has incidented the matter at the Okpoko Police Division, Onitsha in Anambra State, as well as to the Nigeria Police in Lagos, he said failure to apprehend the suspects, led him to seek refuge abroad as it is clear that he was no longer safe in Nigeria.
