Nigeria @ 61: Asekutu Canvasses Purposeful Leadership Beyond Ethnicity, Party Politics
THE Chairman, Warri North Local Government Council, Mr. Smart Asekutu has canvassed for purposeful leadership beyond ethnicity and party politics.
Mr. Asekut who made this recommendation in his goodwill message to celebrate the nation’s 61st Independence anniversary, noted that the passion behind our Independence by our heroes past is the unity in diversity and purposeful leadership irrespective of their ethnic and religous background.
According to him, we must go back to the Nigerian state of our founding fathers’ dream, where patriotism to “OUR NATION” is supreme; not the present state of ethnic bigotry and hatred among Nigerians.
Mr. Asekutu said “We may not agree as a political party but, we must always agree as Nigerians through the challenges that unite us together with purposeful leadership qualities.” he added.
The Warri North Council chairman congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and all Nigerians on the country’s 61st Independence Anniversary.
