Mother Of Nigerian Bisexual Raises Alarm Over Son’s Safety
THE mother of a young Nigerian bisexual, Christopher Dirisu Imokha, has expressed worry over the safety of her son, saying his whereabouts remain unknown since December 2021.
Before his disappearance, Imokha’s mother said their kinsmen in Othame Village, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State wanted to use him for human sacrifice for defiling their land with his bisexual practice.
The incident where he was caught took place in Lagos between him and his partner who happens to be a neighbour of his in the same compound and the case was reported to the police.
Imokha’s mother, looking weary, said she lost her husband when Imokha and his younger siblings were very young, adding that she raised the children single handedly. She said they wanted to kill him when they discovered that he is a bisexual. Subsequently, the villagers outlined an elaborate ritual where Imokha will be used for sacrifice to cleanse the land.
The police have been making efforts to arrest him over the matter. Homosexuality/bisexualism is a crime punishable in Nigeria with several years of imprisonment.
Imokha’s mother, who spoke in their local language, said she is in a helpless situation, as she has not seen or heard from his son since 2021. She therefore said that she would appreciate any assistance towards finding her son.
