Monarch Applauds Asaba Sons & Daughters For Funding Palace Complex

Monarch Inspects Palace Project
THE Asagba of Asaba, Epiphany Azinge, has commended sons and daughters of Asaba for their unwavering support towards the construction of the Asagba Permanent Palace, urging them to sustain the momentum until the project is fully realised.
The monarch made the appeal on 18 February 2026 during an impromptu inspection of the ongoing palace complex located along Asagba Palace Road in Asaba.
Community-Driven Development
Expressing satisfaction with the progress of work, the royal father noted that the administrative block and the main palace structure are steadily advancing. He highlighted that the pavilion building is being solely sponsored by Rt. Hon. Ngozi Okolie, while the museum—funded by Ogbueshi Tony Ndah—is about 80 per cent completed despite earlier being at foundation level.
He also disclosed that Mr. Emma Odiaka has pledged to fully sponsor the palace library.
According to the monarch, the entire project is being executed without government intervention, a development he described as a testament to the commitment and unity of Asaba indigenes.
Call for Sustained Support
While appreciating the consistent show of love since his ascension to the throne, the Asagba urged the community to continue supporting the ambitious project. He assured the people of transparent leadership and accountability, stressing that “to whom much is given, much is expected.”
He further thanked the site manager, Engr. Ken Azinge, for maintaining quality standards and delivering commendable progress, while charging the construction team not to compromise on workmanship.
The monarch reaffirmed that the permanent palace project symbolises unity, heritage and pride for the Asaba Kingdom.
