Briefly tell us about yourself
Answer:
I’m Rejoice Yeyedulo Philip a prolific writer, Author Ghostwriter, poet, Writing coach/consultant and purpose discovery coach/facilitator. To help bring out_ the genius individuals
I’m a student of Bingham University pursuing a degree in English language and literary studies.
Question:
What sparked your interest in writing, and how did you develop your passion for it?
Answer:
Yes! I was born with the ability to write, that interest was there but what sparked it more was; the people, not just people, genuiness in the literary world. How I develop my passion for it – through exposing myself to books such as Anthologies, literature focuses, Articles, about literature genuinesses. Watching videos on their wins, Research on their wins, and competitions.
Question:
Can you tell us about your earliest writing memories? What kind of stories did you write, and what inspired them?
Answer:
Wow! To flashback, it was really an amazing one. I do seat thoughtfully and write, like a professional. But then I was just little, a Newbie. I will write, and when am done;
Guess what I do? I will shape the pages of the write-ups, Design a cover pages for the book with my hands and use a stapler to pin it, and there I go; “I have published a book.” That was so sarcastic. When I flashback, it was a whole lot, but then, it wasn’t just a scene but was a call to align.
The kind of stories I wrote; Fictional stories and non fictional (inspirational). What inspired me; The stories I read, the life of individuals and the things I watched.
Question:
How do you balance writing with other responsibilities, such as school or work?
Answer:
As a student, in school; I have a Time-tabler and routine timetable. I set those time table based on /weigh my time for lectures, activities and reading time, then look for a comfortable time to fix my writing schedules.
Same, if am at home; set speculated time for my writing as well the house activities and chores. Is just a matter of personal discipline and time management.
Question:
Your Writing Style and Influences. Who are some authors or writers who inspire you, and why?
Answer:
Late Buchi Emecheta, Flora Nwapa, Prof William Shakespeare, Prof. Dul Johnson. Why ? I will say, because they are who I’m pursuing to be; Professional writers, & GENIUS!
Their literary works, awards, wins and their style of writing; how they poetry life and blend their inspiration to portray life.

What genre do you enjoy writing in the most, and why?
Answer:
I love Writing poetry. Why? Many people do see poetry as the most difficult of all genre, but that’s opposite for me. Because, I have the free license to play with words with meaning, giving me the full access to express myself.
And, because, poetry has more opportunities when it come to contest and other programs than any genre.
And finally, it’s expense, each word is worth worthy and as well add worth to the poet.

How do you think your writing style has evolved over time?
Answer:
My writing style has not just changed, but has transformed following the process of growth, following the stages from infancy to maturity and even up till now. Growth never stops, it keeps on building up in unique ways.

Question:
About Your Writing Process. Can you walk us through your writing process? Do you have any specific habits or rituals that help you get creative?
Answer:
My writing process differs in the genre I write; For non-fictional and fictional write-ups – Write the key ideas, Analyze and make any necessary research as well as search for names of characters, if needed; Write – free write, Read without editing to how well the story or write up flow, Reading for editing (self-editing); the structure, organization, grammar etc.
For Poetry – Write down the ideas, Think about the ideas and what type of poem to write, Think of a title that will align, Allow the inspiration to flow, Read without editing, second reading for editing; fixing the rhymes, rhythms, figurative and literary devices, and others, proof read, until am satisfied with the way the poem is.

How do you approach writer’s block or creative slumps?
Answer:
Writers block is something temporary and solvable.
– Avoiding perfectionism. Not every word most be perfect. Start messy, and allowing words/ ideas to flow without focusing on correcting grammar.
– Free writing. Keeping my mind off correcting grammar and organization.
– Making use of prompts such as;
“What if…,” ” Imagine…,” “Guess what?…” etc.
– learning to take breaks and changing environments.
– Talk or explain the ideas to yourself first or a friend.
– Setting a timer or reminder and being accountable and consistent in it.
– Watching videos and taking courses related to my area of focus.

What role does reading play in your writing process?
Answer:
It keeps me focused, keeps me updated on new ideas, styles of writing, standards and opportunities and keeps me inspired and Growing.

About Your Goals and Aspirations. What are your writing goals for the next year or five years?
Answer:
Establish a community of extraordinary and professional writers, Write a specified number of books, poems and Quotes, Not just a famous writer, but to impact, reveal and liberate the lost individuals uniqueness and coach them on how to discover themselves and how to write.

Have you faced any significant challenges or setbacks in your writing journey? How did you overcome them?
Answer:
Of course yes! I have faced Challenges and setbacks.
How did I overcome them? Self encouragement and affirmation. Awakening the purpose statement and mind positioning. Reading of books. Prayers – God did it all.

What advice would you give to your younger self just starting out as a writer?
Answer:
Clarity is not making the right choices, but, aligning with purpose and identity; who you are!
Allow your inspiration to flow, stop hiding the ink because of fear and criticisms,put value in yourself and then it will reflect your ink! I am the unique me, there is no other me like me!

About Your Published Works (if any). Can you tell us about your published works? What inspired those projects?
Answer:
The published works are non fiction and few fictional works! One of it is “Secure my Dreams.” What inspired those projects? My passion for writing and liberating and revealing the hidden potentials of individuals. The pain/anger of underestimating those studying or doing an art related work.

What was the most challenging part of getting published, and how did you navigate the process?
Answer:
The most challenging part was the editing process.

Answer:
Many editors failed me, one of them got the piece of work lost. But then, a mentor of mine communicated to a friend and he did the work. It was a whole lot!

How do you feel about the reception of your work? Has it met your expectations?
Answer:
The reception was really awesome and amazing.

About Your Writing Community and Support. How important is having a writing community or support system for you? Do you have any writing friends or mentors?
Answer:
It keeps that inspiration burning in you and not letting you quit. It helps connect with other creatives and laying ways for opportunities. And, yes! I do have Writing friends and a mentor.

How do you stay motivated and accountable in your writing?
Answer:
Setting of daily, weekly, monthly and weekly goals. Then at the end of each day, week, month and year, i will analyze, compare and adjust if necessary.

Answer:
Yes! In times of creating images, and Making research; Canva, ChatGPT and Reddit.
