DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN, on the occasion of his 56th birth anniversary, marked on 21 January.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Asaba by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon. In the message, Governor Oborevwori described Chief Keyamo as a distinguished legal practitioner, seasoned public servant, and committed patriot whose contributions to national development continue to resonate across sectors.
The governor noted that Keyamo’s professional journey, particularly his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), reflects years of dedication, discipline, and excellence in the legal profession. He added that these qualities have continued to define Keyamo’s approach to public service.
Oborevwori praised the Aviation and Aerospace Development Minister for what he described as notable progress in repositioning Nigeria’s aviation sector, especially at a time when safety, efficiency, and investor confidence remain critical concerns. According to the governor, Keyamo’s leadership has brought renewed focus to strengthening regulatory standards and improving institutional effectiveness within the sector.
He observed that the aviation industry plays a strategic role in national development by facilitating trade, tourism, and regional integration, noting that the minister’s efforts have helped restore confidence among stakeholders and industry operators.
Beyond his ministerial role, Governor Oborevwori commended Keyamo’s consistency, courage, and professionalism in public office, stating that his forthright leadership style has earned him respect across political and professional divides.
The governor also acknowledged Keyamo’s political influence, particularly his role in the growth and consolidation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and across the country. He described the minister as a dependable party leader and bridge-builder whose commitment has helped strengthen party structures and promote internal cohesion.
According to Oborevwori, Keyamo’s political maturity and steadfast commitment to democratic ideals have continued to distinguish him within the political landscape, making him a reference point for principled leadership.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the good people of Delta State, I congratulate my dear brother and friend, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN, on the occasion of his 56th anniversary,” the governor said.
“He is a worthy son of Delta State who has brought pride to our state through his exemplary service to the nation,” he added.
