HRM Asagba Azinge Explores Tourism Potential In Asaba, Delta State
ON 11 August 2025, His Royal Majesty, Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge on a guided tour of various Tourist centers in Asaba, Delta State.
HRM Asagba Azinge commended the Delta State Government for establishing these facilities, which can serve as a catalyst for tourism development in Asaba. He emphasized the importance of community support and participation in promoting tourism and highlighted the potential for waterfront beaches and other attractions.
The Monarch also invited filmmakers nationwide to utilize the Film Village’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment to produce high-quality content. He expressed his ambition to make Asaba a premier tourist destination, attracting visitors globally.
Speaking earlier, Barr. Bali Oladipo, the concessionaire of Mariam Babaginda Leisure Park and Mrs Josephine Ayameluho Ogbolu, the General Manager of Delta State Tourism Board who doubles as a member of the Asaba Tourism Committee warmly welcomed His Majesty and his entourage.

Mrs. Josephine Ayameluho Ogbolu highlighted some certain pros and cons affecting tourism in the capital city and what can be done to make Asaba a tourist center.
The tour was kick-started with the Film Village Studio, Administrative Building and Amphitheatre, Hostel, Indigenous Cultural Center, Zoo, Lander Brothers Anchorage, Asaba Sports Club and ended at the Marine Jetty, Cable Point Asaba.
This tour marks a significant step towards realizing Asaba’s tourism potential and showcases the collaborative efforts between the government and the community in driving development. The tour aimed to explore Asaba’s tourism potential and identify opportunities for growth.
