GREYPARROT Media has launched GreyParrot Audiobook Originals, a premium initiative designed to showcase African and diaspora authors on global platforms alongside giants like Audible and Spotify.
Modeled after the “Netflix Originals” approach, every audiobook is treated as a flagship release, complete with professional studio recording, skilled narration, meticulous editing, and global distribution. The focus is on nonfiction titles—memoirs, business, personal growth, and faith-based works—that inspire and transform.
Founder and Executive Producer Darnley Uche says the goal is to make African voices “impossible to ignore on the global stage,” ensuring authors gain reach, credibility, income, and impact. With over 1,000 voiceovers recorded and years of experience working with top brands, GreyParrot positions itself as both production house and launch partner, handling narration, marketing, and branding.
Uche notes that while audiobooks are the fastest-growing publishing format worldwide, African authors remain underrepresented. GreyParrot aims to change that by turning African stories into cultural moments that resonate globally.
