NIGERIA’S U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, have wrapped up final preparations ahead of their World Cup opener against Canada on Sunday in Group D.
Friday’s training focused on set-piece drills, defensive coordination, and midfield transitions, as the squad sharpened tactics and fitness. Team officials said Saturday will feature strategy sessions and FIFA workshops before the big game.
Drawn alongside Canada, France, and Samoa, the Flamingos will look to build on their bronze-winning performance from the last edition as they begin their 2024 campaign.
