FILMMAKERS from Nigeria and across the African continent have been invited to submit entries for the 9th edition of the Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF), scheduled to take place from 25 to 29 August 2026 in Kaduna.
The call for submissions officially opened on 21 February and will close on 14 April 2026. Organisers announced that entries are welcome in multiple categories, including feature films, short films, animation, documentaries, experimental works, indigenous productions, student films, and television or streaming platform series.

For the North Central zone, Hoomsuk Jibrin, Cartoon Films TV, Louis Wise, and Umar Ali Yakubu will oversee submissions. Mansoor Sadiq, Oladimeji Oluwasegun, Abdallah Amdaz, and MC Kayode are coordinating entries from the North West, while Abubakar Dan Baiwa and Gambo Usman Kona will manage submissions from the North East.
In the southern regions, Zack Francis Ineydo will coordinate entries from the South West, JP Nwanganga from the South East, and His Royal Highness Snazzy from the South South.
International submissions will be managed by South Africa’s Nomi Mzamane and Ugandan representatives Kwezi Patrick, Ashiraf Mulima, and Nakafeero Shamirah Suzan.
A Celebration of Cultural Renaissance
Founder and Executive Director of KADIFF, Audu Kashim Israel, commended the coordinators for their continued contributions to the creative industry. He expressed optimism that the 2026 edition, themed “Cultural Renaissance,” would further spotlight African storytelling and cinematic excellence.
Organisers say the upcoming festival aims to celebrate diverse narratives while promoting cross-cultural exchange within Africa’s rapidly growing film industry.
