THE Federal Government has dismissed reports claiming that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is no longer required for tertiary admissions.
In a statement by the Ministry of Education’s spokesperson, Boriowo Folasade, Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, described the reports as false and baseless, affirming that JAMB remains the sole body authorized to conduct entrance exams and coordinate admissions into Nigerian tertiary institutions.
The Minister urged students, parents, and schools to rely only on official communication from the Ministry and JAMB for accurate information, warning media outlets against spreading misinformation.
