Star Power, Sound and Culture Shine at AFRIMA Music Village
MUSIC lovers were treated to an unforgettable night on Friday as the AFRIMA Music Village transformed Ikeja City Mall into a melting pot of African rhythms, culture and live entertainment.
Held as part of the 9th AFRIMA celebrations, the event attracted a massive crowd and featured a star-studded lineup that cut across West, East and Central Africa.
Legendary Afrobeat musician Femi Kuti thrilled fans with a powerful performance that set the mood for the night. Nigerian singer Wande Coal followed with smooth vocals and crowd-pleasing hits that kept the audience fully engaged.
Tanzanian superstars Diamond Platnumz and Harmonize brought high-energy East African vibes, while Yemi Alade impressed with her colourful stage presence and popular songs. Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy further raised the tempo with a commanding and energetic performance.
Congolese artiste Innos’B added a unique continental touch, as Nigerian acts including Kcee, 9ice, Obesere, Jeriq and Skales delivered crowd-pleasing performances. Moliy, Mavo and Fuji veteran Ayuba ensured the excitement never waned.
Fans described the event as refreshing and well-organised, praising AFRIMA for uniting diverse African sounds on one stage. The celebrations continue through Sunday 11 January.
