DTSG Opens Registration For Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Programme

THE Delta State Government has announced the opening of registration for the Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP), a youth-oriented initiative aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment among students in state-owned tertiary institutions.
According to a statement issued on behalf of the state government, registration for the programme will begin on Monday, February 2, 2026. Interested applicants are to complete their registration online via the official portal: www.tepapplication.com
TEP seeks to identify and support students with innovative, feasible, and scalable business ideas, while equipping them with practical skills to become successful entrepreneurs and future employers. The initiative reinforces the Delta State Government’s commitment to youth development, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.
Eligibility is limited to students of Delta State-owned universities, including the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Delta State University (DELSU), Southern Delta University (SDU) and Dennis Osadebay University (DOU).
Applicants must:
Be of Delta State origin
Be between 18 and 35 years old
Be in 200 Level, 300 Level, or penultimate year
Possess a minimum CGPA of 2.5
Present an innovative and viable business idea
As part of the application requirements, candidates must upload a recent passport photograph, admission letter, birth certificate, certificate of local government of origin, and a detailed business plan.
The government assured that all applications will be thoroughly screened, and only candidates who meet the criteria will be shortlisted.
The Delta State Government urged eligible students to seize the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial capacity and contribute to the state’s economic progress.
