THE Delta State Police Command has arrested multiple suspects in separate sting operations targeting armed robbery, cultism, and drug trafficking.
On 17 September, a patrol team in Ogwashi-Uku intercepted three men — Emmanuel Ibekwe, Victor Chibuzor, and Zakaria Joro — with a loaded English pistol and live ammunition. They were handed over to the State Anti-Kidnapping Squad for further investigation.
In a separate raid on 13 September, operatives of the Eagle Net Squad, working with local security, stormed a hotel in Agbor and arrested ten suspects, including the alleged owner, Markwuye Peter. A large stash of illicit drugs was recovered.
The Commissioner of Police, Abaniwonda Olufemi, praised the officers’ swift action and urged residents to remain vigilant and support security efforts to keep Delta safe.
