By PAULINA NZERUBE
BUSINESS mogul and Chairman of the Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, describing his leadership as people-centred, God-fearing and firmly rooted in development, while declaring that the state is “in very good hands.”
Iyiegbu made the remarks during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Asaba, where he was accompanied by the Founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze. The visit coincided with the dedication of the Cubana Millennium City project to God, marking a symbolic alignment of faith, governance and investment.
Following the visit, Obi Cubana took to his verified Facebook page to commend Governor Oborevwori’s leadership style, stating that the governor’s approach has brought renewed confidence to investors and residents alike. He described Oborevwori as a righteous leader whose administration is committed to inclusive growth and sustainable development.
Expressing appreciation for the governor’s openness, Iyiegbu noted that accessibility to leadership remains a critical factor in fostering investor confidence. He assured Deltans that the Cubana Group is fully committed to contributing meaningfully to the state’s development agenda.
He further disclosed that the Cubana Millennium City Asaba project, which he described as a landmark and “the Jewel on the Niger,” is on track, with the first phase scheduled for delivery by December 2026.
