THE Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its two-week warning strike following renewed commitments from the Federal Government and the National Assembly to meet its demands.
ASUU President, Prof. Chris Piwuna, announced the suspension in Abuja, giving the government one month to address issues including the review of the 2009 ASUU-FG agreement, payment of salary arrears and earned allowances, and release of the university revitalisation fund.
He warned that the union would resume strike action without notice if the government fails to act within the grace period.
