Asagba of Asaba Graces 15th Police Games

Asagba Azinge Joins Police Sporting Event
THE Asagba of Asaba, Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, attended the 15th edition of the Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA) on 21 February 2026, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
The event brought together officers of the Nigeria Police Force in a display of athletic competition designed to promote physical endurance and operational preparedness.
Carrying the theme “Beyond the Badge: Excellence in Action – Promoting Sporting Excellence Towards Ensuring Fitness for Operational Exigencies and Combat Readiness,” the games emphasized the critical role of fitness and discipline in modern policing.
Strengthening Security Through Sports
BIPOGA has become a key platform for fostering unity and esprit de corps within the police force. Through various sporting activities, officers enhance their stamina and resilience—qualities considered essential for effective law enforcement duties.
His Royal Majesty’s presence at the stadium was widely seen as a gesture of solidarity with the police and a reaffirmation of his support for initiatives that strengthen security frameworks and professional standards.
The event concluded with renewed calls for sustained investment in training and welfare programs that bolster the capacity of officers to meet their responsibilities with excellence and readiness.
