Asagba Azinge Flags Off Modern Primary School Project
THE Asagba of Asaba, Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, has performed the foundation-laying ceremony for the construction of the Asaba Modern Primary School at Obiaije Satellite Area in Asaba.
The event, held on 24 March 2026, marked the formal commencement of a project aimed at strengthening access to quality basic education within the community.
Royal Commendation for Community Effort
During the ceremony, the monarch commended the Obiaije family for donating land for the project, describing the gesture as a significant contribution to community development.
He also acknowledged the efforts of a committee led by Benibe Ugboko for facilitating the initiative and ensuring its swift take-off.
Emphasis on Self-Help and Collective Responsibility
The Asagba praised the people of Asaba for their commitment to development, noting that the project reflects a broader culture of self-reliance.
Reiterating his belief in community-driven progress, he stressed that meaningful development can be achieved through collective effort rather than sole dependence on government intervention.
According to him, the project is being funded by contributions from Asaba indigenes both at home and in the diaspora, underscoring a strong sense of ownership.

The monarch expressed optimism that the new school would enhance educational opportunities for children in the area and contribute to long-term community growth.
He also offered prayers for the successful and timely completion of the project.
Project Details Unveiled
Earlier, the committee chairman, Benibe Ugboko, welcomed the monarch and presented a 3D model of the proposed school building.
He acknowledged the support of the Asaba Welfare and Endowment Committee, noting that collaboration among stakeholders was key to bringing the project to life.
