APC Chieftain Egbabor Praises Oborevwori Over Road Projects In Isoko

APC Leader Commends Governor’s Infrastructure Push
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Emmanuel Egbabor, has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for approving several road projects across Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas.
Egbabor, who serves as the Delta State Organising Secretary of the APC and is a former chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, gave the commendation in a statement issued in Asaba on Friday.
He described the approvals as a major step toward improving infrastructure and stimulating socio-economic development in the Isoko nation.
Key Road Projects in Isoko Communities
The APC chieftain specifically praised the Delta State Executive Council for approving the construction and rehabilitation of several strategic roads across the two local government areas.
According to him, the projects are expected to address long-standing transportation challenges and improve connectivity among communities in the region.
Among the projects approved by the state government are the construction of Emese Road in Urude community, Ozoro, the reconstruction of Otor-Igho Township Road in Otor-Igho, and the construction of Godwin Ogorugba, Eduje and Matthew Enarube Streets in the same community.
Also approved is the reconstruction of the Oteri–Igbide–Emede Road, a major route expected to improve access between communities in the area.
Egbabor said the projects would bring much-needed relief to residents who have endured poor road conditions for many years.
Boost for Economic Activities
According to Egbabor, the road developments will significantly improve transportation and enhance economic activities in the affected communities.
He noted that improved road networks would ease the movement of goods and people, boost trade, and provide better access to markets and social services.
The APC leader added that better infrastructure would also encourage investment in the area and support the livelihoods of residents who rely on road transport for business and daily activities.
Support for the MORE Agenda
Egbabor further said the approvals demonstrate Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to infrastructure renewal under his administration’s development blueprint known as the MORE Agenda.
The agenda, he explained, focuses on Meaningful development, Opportunities for all, Realistic reforms and Enhanced peace and security.
According to him, the governor’s continued investment in road infrastructure reflects a determination to ensure equitable development across all parts of Delta State.
Call for Cooperation from Communities
The APC organising secretary urged residents of the benefiting communities to support the state government’s efforts by cooperating with contractors handling the projects.
He said community support would help ensure the smooth and timely completion of the road works.
Egbabor expressed optimism that once completed, the projects would improve the overall quality of life for residents of Isoko North and Isoko South.
He added that the roads would not only enhance mobility but also help unlock new economic opportunities in the region.
