THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says that over 95 per cent of results from Saturday’s Anambra governorship election have been successfully uploaded to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
Checks by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the IReV platform showed steady progress in result transmission from polling units across the 21 local government areas of the state.
According to data available on the portal, most polling units have completed their uploads, indicating significant improvement in technological efficiency compared to previous elections.
INEC also reaffirmed that all uploaded results remain secure, verifiable, and accessible to the public, underscoring its commitment to transparency and credibility in the electoral process.
Further checks revealed that out of the 5,720 polling units listed on the portal, a total of 5,472 polling units had successfully uploaded their results as of the time of filing this report.
The development has been hailed by observers as a positive step toward enhancing public trust in Nigeria’s electoral system through real-time digital result management.
