ALBON Assures Travellers Of Safe Christmas Journeys

LONG distance luxury bus operators have assured Nigerians travelling during the Christmas season of safe and hitch-free journeys across the country. The Association of Luxury Bus Owners of Nigeria said it is addressing safety concerns and preparing for the seasonal surge in passenger traffic.
In a statement signed by its National President, Prince Samuel Ezeh, and Honorary Secretary, Mr. Frank Nneji, the association said it is working closely with security agencies to ensure incident-free operations, particularly along major travel corridors.
ALBON said its members have expanded capacity by adding new buses to their fleets while also carrying out extensive maintenance on existing vehicles to guarantee roadworthiness. The association stressed that these measures are aimed at ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers during the festive rush.
The transporters, however, appealed to the Federal Road Safety Corps to urgently tackle gridlocks currently affecting major routes, noting that traffic congestion often causes travellers to spend long hours on the road and arrive late at their destinations. ALBON said it expects increased patronage this year due to rising air fares, urging travellers to remain safety conscious while wishing them a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
