AFROSPORT has secured the Free-to-Air broadcast rights for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, guaranteeing Nigerians nationwide access to all matches without subscription fees.
Content Director Deji Omotoyinbo confirmed the deal with CAF and rights owner NWTV, describing it as the result of months of technical negotiations. He said the partnership strengthens FTA television as Nigeria’s most accessible sports platform, with all matches set to air on AfroSport’s network, including NTA and BON affiliates.
Omotoyinbo added that enhanced production, expert analysis and fan-focused programming will accompany the live coverage, ensuring a comprehensive viewing experience—even in rural communities.
Chief Consultant Akintunde-Johnson Bada said the agreement reflects CAF’s confidence in AfroSport’s capacity to deliver nationwide coverage. NWTV MD Nimonka Kolani noted that the collaboration ensures fans remain connected to the Super Eagles throughout the tournament.
AFCON 2025 will run from 21 December to 18 January 2026, with hosts Morocco opening against Comoros. Nigeria begins its Group C campaign on 22 December against Tanzania before facing Tunisia on 27 December and Uganda on 30 December.
