AFCON 2025 Ticket Sales Halted After System Crash

THE Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations has suspended ticket sales just hours after launch, following an overwhelming surge in demand.

Fans from across Africa and beyond reportedly flooded the online platform on Thursday, causing technical glitches that forced an immediate halt.

“The passion for African football is unmatched, and the interest we’ve seen today is a testament to that,” the LOC said in a statement, adding that upgrades are underway to ensure smooth transactions when sales resume.

A new date will be announced soon. AFCON 2025 is expected to be one of the most competitive tournaments in recent years, showcasing the continent’s top footballing nations.
